Dackefejden is a very nice rally on gravel south of Växjö June 19. At the picture - taken by "Rally-Kalle" - Thomas Grönberg is using all the road for his 740 Original.

Rally Dackefejden is a very nice swedish gravel rally in the surroundings of small Ingelstad, 15 kms south of Växjö in south of Sweden (220 kms from Malmö if You go via Denmark and the bridge between Sweden and Denmark and 250 kms from Trelleborg if you coming with a ferry from Germany).

Dackefejden is a one day rally June 19 and the organisation invites all foreign Volvo Original drivers to start for free.
Its the 2.nd leg in Volvo Original Nordic West Euro Cup 2010.

As usual in Sweden its not allowed to test the stages before start. 
In stead You will get pacenotes (english figurebased) - and this year you dont need to pay the pace notes either.
Dackefejden has 5 special stages - the shortest is 9 kms and the longest 20 kms. Only one stage is the sama as 2009, but all stages are in the same area. No stage will be driven twice.
The rally starts in small Ingelstad south of Växjö - at an agricultural school.
You can even live at the school - and its for free for all foreign Volvo original drivers. Its a boarding school and there are a lot of rooms for the students, two persons in one room.
There are beds and maddrasses - but You have to bring pillows and other sleeping equipment.

The service place is also at the school area and the drivers are coming back to service twice during the rally.
You can arrive friday and go back home sunday if you want - and if you come friday the organisation will try to arrange a small test stage where you can make a small test of roads and pace notes (from last year of cause).
The roads in the area is very popular - but you have to use the road and not the ditches, because its an area with a lot of stones beside the road.

The area is an interresting part of Sweden wit a lot of famous glassworks - f ex Boda and Kosta.
From this part of Sweden - Småland - thousands of people emigrated to the US during 1850-1920.
Its a very nice landscape - and the roads are nice and twisty.
