The rally in Vännäs in the north of Sweden was a real winter rally - the first of two rallies the same weekend in the same area. The rallies was the first rallies in the Swedich Volvo Original Cup 2010 and more than 50 Volvos started.
The foreign Volvo Drivers in the rally was:
Jochen Walther, Siggi Mayr och Philip Knoof from Germany, Karl Rumpler from Austria and Robert Nordin from Aland, a small island autonomy between Finland and Sweden.

Fastest of the foreign drivers was Robert Norin while Jochen was unlucky and had to stop and help to move a crashed car on stage 2, so he lost a couple of minutes.

Her is the results from the foreign drivers:
1) Robert Nordin/Johnie Fredriksson, Åland/FI, Volvo 940, 32 min 06 secs, 2) Jochen Walther/Philipp Musholt, Germany, Volvo 240, 34.27, 3) Siegfried Mayr/Hubert Spindler, Germany, Volvo 740, 36.34, 4) Karl Rumpler/Maria Rumpler, Austria, Volvo 740, 37.57, 5) Philip Knoof/ Bianca Lustig, Germany, Volvo 940, 58.15

19 year old Philip Knoof started on snow and ice for the first time but dig a good rally. The problem was that he went off and lost 20 minutes in the snow on special stage 3, but the car was ok - the snow is soft - så he could go on and reach finish line.

All drivers started even in the rally the day after - but that gave no extra points for the Cup.
The Vännäs rally means that 5 drivers now has 15 extra point each in the Euro Cup - before the rally starts.
