Picture: Henrik Levin from Sweden won two rallies in the VO Euro Cup 2009 - in The Netherlands and in Austria - and became 2.nd in South Swedish rally. In september the 940-driver finished the season in Denmark where he was nr 2 after danish 240-driver Mick Fraas. Henrik Levin from Sweden did not need to start in tha last leg in the VO Nordic West Euro Cup 2009 - he was already Cup Winner this year. But he likes asphalt rallies and the danish KDAK Rally at island Fyn is famous for its wonderful roads. So Henrik started - and get company with five more Volvos. It was the sweedish Cup winner last year, Magnus Johansson, german driver Andreas Leue and dutch driver Rnse Zwaagstra. And Emil Tigerberg - he Cup Winner 2008, who crased in the final rally that year, Lausitz Rally in Germany. Emil was taken to hospital and stayed in Germany for a week. But now he is bac again - han has built a new 940 and has started rallyeing again. - This was the firt rally abroad this year and i was very nervous before start, specially as it raind a lot day before start. - It stopped raining before start but first 5 stages was wet and a little bit hard - but everything worked perfect and as the roads dryed up it was really nice, Emil said. He ended as nr 4 among the Volvos and where really hapy after the the 100 kms on the danish roads: - Its the best rally I know. The roads are perfect - and its a very nice country. Before start everyone was thinking Henrik Levin would winn. But young danish driver Mick Fraas started hard in his 240 and after 5 stages he was in top before Magnus Johansson and Levin. - I started too careful on the wet roads and after 5 stages i decided to try harder. But I did not care to try to win. I most of all wanted to beat Magnus and I did. Now Mick won with 40 seconds and I have to say he really is a big talent for the future. Magnus Johansson made his 2.nd asphalt rally. First was Sulingen in Germany two years ago: - Its really is fun and for me who lives in the south of Sweden its easier to start here, than in a gravel rally in the middle of Sweden. So maybe I will try the Euru Cup 2010. I have not decided yet... 4.th was Emil Tigerberg - and than Andreas Leue with is 740. Andreas was 2.nd in he Cup before start and he only needed to start in Denmark to keep his place before Rinse Zwaagstra, the young dutch driver who took the bronze medail in the Cup this Year. The Volvo Original drivers made really good results wih there old standard cars - and o standard tyres! - even in the rally overall. Young Mick vas 27.th overall among all 78 cars in the rally, Levin nr 32 and Magnus Johansson nr 33. - Its not surpricing. Its a lot of good drivers in the Volvo cars, Magnus says. And wee agree...
