Denmark makes the last rally in the Volvo Original Nordic West Euro Cup 2009. The date will be Sept 4-5 and the town is Odense at Fyn Island. Its a 2 day rallye with a lot of stages. last year the drivers drowe more than 170 kms on very nice roads. Here is the complete calendar: Volvo Original Nordic West Euro Cup 2009: 1: 20-21 Mars. Tank S Rally, Emmeloord, Holland. Asphalt. 2: 17-18 April. Rallye Triestingtal, Austria. Gravel* 3: 1-2 May. Rallye Sulingerland, Sulingen, Germany. Asphalt. 4: 15-16 May. SSR/Sydrallyt, Ljungby, Sweden, Gravel* 5: 1 aug. Rally Grimstad, Grimstad Norway, Asphalt. 6: 4-5 sept. KDAK Rally Fyn, Odense, Denmark. Asphalt. * Also in Gravel Cup 2009. 5 of 6 will be counted for final result.
Some drivers loves it - some drivers hate it. But everyone says its one of the most exiting rallies you can compete during the year. Of cause we talk about - Lausitz Rallye in Boxberg/Weisswasser 200 kms south east of Berlin. - 2009 its the first year we have more asphalt rallies than gravel rallies in the Euro Cup, says the Volvo Original boss Carleric Johansson. - But as many of the drivers likes gravel I got the idea to make a brand new Cup - Volvo Original Gravel Cup 2009! - We take the two gravel rallies in the Euro Cup and add Lausitz Rallye in October. I asked the Lausitz Organisation in Boxberg/Weisswasser and they gave me a quick answer: - This idea is great. And maybe we can offer a little special price for the Volvo-Gravel-King!
