Rally Finnskog Norway Feb 14-16

Picture: German 240-driver Jochen Walther was fastest "Non Nordic"-driver in the Rally Finnskog 2002. 42 drivers started, Jochen ended as no 9.

 

First rally in the Volvo Original Nordic West Euro Rally Cup 2008 is the Rally Finnskog in Kongsvinger, Norway Feb 14-16. You can find the invitation at www.rallyfinnskog.no

This year the Rally is planned "the european way": arriwal thursday night, drive thrue the stages all friday - even for the Volvo Original Classes - and scruteneering  and cermonial start afternoon/evening Friday. Than the rally starts Saturday morning.

The rally has six special stages (120 km) and overall its 320 km to go.

Service at on place in Kongsvinger.

 

If You dont want to drive thrue yu can bye good pace notes in english.

The pace noteas are very exactly - they are written by famus swedish codriver Bruno Berglund.

 

Time tabel:

Rally HQ (Hall of Town, Kongsvinger) is open as follows:

Thursday Feb 14: 18-21.

Friday Feb 15: 07-22.

Saturday Feb 16 from 06 and until the rally is over.

Giving out the material: Thursday Feb 14: 18-21.

Scrutineering: Friday 15. Starts16.00.

Remember: Stickers are not allowed in the front screen.

FIA chairs, helmets and belts. Overalles due to the FIA 2000 etc.

Cermonial start: Friday Feb 15 from 20. Every cars has to start - beginnes with car no 1 etc.

First "real" start from Kongsvinger: Saturday morning 07.30

First car back to finish in Kongsvinger:  Saturday Feb 16,16.00.

Price Giving: Party Tent outside Hall of Town. Starts 20.00.

(4 tickets for free for each team. Prices to 25 % of the teams in each classe)

 

Reconnaissance:

Friday Feb due to plan in the official Program for the rally.

Maximum speed on stages during the reconnaissance: 50 km/h.

No rally cars or bil service cars are allowed - not even the VOC-cars.

 

Classes:

Rally Finnskog has 19 classes for drivers/cars.

Klass 17 is Volvo Original Elit, top drivers (in Norway and Sweden A and B).

Klass 18 is Volvo Original, C-förare

For the Nordic West Euro Cup there will be one new list with all the drivers from both classes after the rally.

Licens: EU-licens is ok (national licens)

 

Extra service:

Wenche Nafstad is on place and invites all VO-team members for a cup of coffe.

(Normal price 4.000 or 4.500 Nkr. Pace notes: plus 500 Nkr (you can choce english siffer or english describing)

Where to live:

Check via internet, area Kongsvinger. Its a lot of Camping places with cottages (norwegian: hytter) in the area. Or call the organisation and ask for help.
