FIA reguations is not a problem for Volvo Original any more. NEAFP (National Event with Authorised Foreign Participant) is out from Jan. 2008 - but if we want to start with or national cars in national rallies - as to day - its ok if the national ASN says ok. And it will be no cost for the rally organisations! In Sweden we first missed the new text - it was the danish drivers who found the text in the new FIA regulations. The problems will come in the NEZ Championship and other parts of the regional championships regulatione, where FIA left the NEAFP-regulations and changed to international regulations. But - maybe its possible to do in NEZ, whats a lot of rallies does today: First starts the International Event with international cars - than the national event with national cars and natinal drivers from a lot of countries. Because of the new sitauation its important that all drivers at the price giving in Volvo Nordic West Cup at Jochens Walthers place in Hohen Luckow, Germany tells if they want to do a Cup even 2008. And it also important that the drivers say what kind of tyres they want on tarmac. The danish want only one one special racing tyre They dont like standard tyres. What does the germans says, And the swedes - and all others? Price Giving will take place at Jochens place as usual. The date is Nov 23-25 - and all Volvo Original teams who has started in a german rally 2007 are invited. Swedish teams will tell Carleric Johansson who is going and when.
