Picture: Holger Knöbel tried to win lausitz Rallye but went off and lost a lot of minutes. However - he come back, ended at 4.th place among the Volvos. The points gave him 2.nd place overall in the Cup2007 after winner Eric Vrena Johansson. There was three winners in the Volvo Original final rally in the Nordic West Euro Cup 2007: 1) Young swede Eric Vrena Johansson - who ended at 2.nd place in german Lausitz Rally. That made him to the Overall Winner in the Volvo Original Nordic West Euro Cup 2007. 2) Lars Ohlson, swedish veteran driver who tested the Lausits Rallye for the first time - and ended as the winner in the class - and as number 5 overall in the National A event! 3) Ex Volvo Original-driver Henrik Levin - ho has started in Lausitz a lot of times before - now started with an old but fast and strong Volvo 240 Gr H- and had a big figt about oweral win. He almost succeeded - but after last stage he was "only" number 2, beeten with 1,3 secounds! But - tehere was not only winners in this cold, final rally weekend. There was one looser to. And it was german 740 driver Holger Knöbel. Before start Holger had a chans to take the Volvo Original Title this year. But - he had to win! So of cause he tried. But - the speed was to high, he went off, get stuck and lost 13 minutes already at the 1.st stage. After that Holger made really good ss-times and ended as nr 4 among the Volvo Original drivers. But as Eric Johansson ended as nr 2 Holger had to be satisfied with the 2.nd place overall... Tarmac specialist - Swedens Emil Tigerberg - also had problems on one stage, but as Niklas Lundberg had to retire with broken gearbox Emil could take the 3.rd place overall. German driver Andreas Leue did a really good rally - but went off at the last stage and lost 19 minutes Young Anja C. Frese had no luck at all this weekend. Her 240 gave up before start at the first stage - and when they tried to get the engine working it started to burn... What then about Henrik Levin and his old 240 Gr H? Well - Henrik did a splendid rally and when the last stage started, he was the overall leader in the National A event - 7 seconds before german driver Wolfgang Meierholz in a Mitsubishi Evo 6 Gr N! But the last stage was to fast for the Volvo (maximal speed 180 km/h) and the Mitsubishi driver was able to take back 8 seconds - and win the National A event! - I am wery satisfied - it really was fun. Of cause I wanted to win but I think thir was ok too, Henrik said after the price giving in Weisswasser.
