The Nordic West Euro Cup-rally in Denmark had 9 Volvo Original Cars on the entry list: one danish driver, one norwegian, two german and 5 swedish drivers. The rally had 8 special stages on tarmac, who became hard to drivebecause of a lot of rain during the event. A lot of the cars - one leg in the Danish Rally Championship 2007 - got problems and went off. So even 4 of the Volvo Original cars. Niklas Lundberg chrasched his new 940 and now are working hard to rebuild the car so that he can start in Lausitz, he hope. Before start young Eric Vrena Johansson was in the top but german top driver Holger Knöbel and the champion last year - Anders Svensson - had a chanse to overtake him - if they made good results both in Demark and Germany. Niklas also hade a good hanse - if the ofters failed. So everyoine tryed hard. But all of them went off. Holger cound go on but Anders hade to retire. And later in Niklas too. Eric Vrena had a perfect day without mistakes and teamfriend Emil Tigerberg - always fast on tarmac - ended at second place. Number 3 was danish veteran Niels Erik Jřrgensen, who for the first time stated in his new 940. He just tryed the car for one hour before start - so of cause he was satisfired. Holger Knöbel came back with a wery fast driving and ended at 4.th place. Because of thar Holger still can win the Cup overall - if he wins the Volvo Original classe in Lausitz (and he can). But if so Eric Vrena are not allowed to be better than nr 7. If Eric retire and Holger wins Holger is the Champion. Young german 240-driver Anja C. Frese was numer 5 in Denmark and got a lot of points that gives her a place on Top 10. Congratulations!
